100 Meter Films was established in Nagoya in 1999 to produce John Williams’ first Japanese-language feature film, Firefly Dreams (2001). The company relocated to central Tokyo in 2001. Since then, we have produced several feature films by John Williams, two feature films by Shohei Shiozaki, and co-produced other feature length films, documentaries, and shorts.

We are focused on the development of our own feature films, documentaries, and Streaming Series. Since we are also active in Kansai, we can offer production services to smaller projects wishing to shoot outside of Tokyo and possibly offer services to projects, depending on the scale or type of project.

We also shoot promotional films, documentary or commercials and can write feature-length film projects.

We frequently translate scripts or subtitles for films or streaming series. We have a track record of providing high-level English language translation, delivered in professional formats (Final Draft). We have worked extensively in development and can provide script feedback and reports. We also consult at the editing stage, both for feature films and documentaries.
